It is time for attention

Southern gangs bare their claws against the newspaper "Koha Jonë"

The passport agency "Koha Jonë" has been targeted by southern gangs ever since the bloody anarchy broke out. For years our agency had offices in Sarandë, Delvinë, Gjirokastër, not to mention Janina, but these offices were vandalized and looted by gangs, especially in Vlorë. Since the unrest of 26.6.96 began, at the third time in the passport agency on Elbasan Street, our newspaper was temporarily suspended. Even today, not only is the staff threatened by the gangs, but the work tools, the other transport equipment, everything that was in the newspaper building has been destroyed and disappeared. It was reported to the police authorities, but there has still never been any reaction to stop this robber and thieving policy. THE EDITORIAL OFFICE
